At Careli Tours we have two certified divers whom had dived most of the available places so far both Pacific & Caribbean Sea. From our point of view is it interesting combining some dives at the Pacific and spending good time at Corn & Little Corn Island and why not a dive into a Crater lagoon. Each of the places offers a different ecosystem to be enjoyed. In both areas of Nicaragua we work with PADI diving center and our local partners are very responsible in all senses. So it is better to hear how many days you have available and your interest on a nice experience. Just contact us and we can recommend you an international travel partner in UK so don’t have to deal with fly programming and get good deals. Or if you prefer, you can contact us directly
General Information on San Juan del Sur
The best sites are located about 45 minute’s boat ride from down town. You will see multiple reef fish at only fifteen feet. The rocks are covered by soft corals, sponges and tunicates. Due to currents, you will notice the richness in the plankton showing several species of fish, invertebrates, crustaceous and mollusk. It is very common to see schools of Stingrays Teeming, Panamanian Sergeants, and different species of Snapper, and you may be lucky enough to observe a few Panamic Porkfish
General Information on Corn Island
The diving is good with a wide and healthy variety of corals, sponges and marine animal life. There is plenty to see, from Nurse Sharks and Eagle Rays to puffers and spotted drums, plus a whole host of Caribbean reef fish. If you're into sharks, a visit to the Blowing rock is recommended to see Black tip sharks, Reef sharks, and Bull sharks. The reefs around Great Corn Island are worth diving too. |
